Kingdom Hearts: Rebirthing Pro

Plot:  Set as an in-between story of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and infatuated with the story line of Birth by Sleep. In Sora's sleep, Naminé begins to notice a dark past that once exist grow within his heart and this darkness is complete beyond her control. With no choice as to find a cure to this sickness she sends, Roxas, Xion, and Axel into Sora's heart to end this battle within Light. But how long will they last in this Forsaken, cold darkness and not lose their light? Rated M for language and violence, Slight Yaoi but no slash. Pairings: AkuRoku, VanRoku-- Slight AkuShi and RokuShi

Prologue: Our Forgotten Promise


"Goodbye," Naminé said, smiling at the boy as a disguise of hiding her sadness. However, even behind that smile of fake happiness a tear fell from her eyes and ran down her gentle cheek showing she would forever miss Sora and have him within her own memory.

Sora looked over and saw the tear drop to the floor. His heart nearly stopped at the sight, all this time he'd been trying to save her happiness and keep her away from the darkness within the castle but now he's sees it wasn't the men in black coats that were making her sad, it was him. "No not goodbye, when I wake up I'll find you." He smiled hoping her sadness would be erased with his words. "And then there will be no lies, we're gonna be friends for real. Promise me, Naminé."

The blonde couldn't help but laugh unnoticeably at him. He was such a strong hearted boy even with his heart messed up and slightly cracked with unreal memories he was still so caring for the ones he loved. "You're going to forget making that promise."


"If the Chain of Memories comes apart, they links will still be there, right?" Sora asked knowing she was going to try everything to make him forget her. "So the memory of our promise will always be inside me somewhere. I'm sure of it."

There was no getting through to this boy. Naminé knew he was stubborn but he always found a loophole to every problem…maybe that's what she liked about him. Although, soon he would be different---Yes he'll still be so headstrong and loving but he won't be as caring for her anymore, instead he will be to Kairi. "Yeah you're right. Okay, it's a promise."

"Good, until later." Sora stepped forward and extended his pinky finger out to Naminé. The blonde smile and did the same, hooking the two fingers together and shaking them. It would seem childish to many but for them it was the same thing as giving one another a promise ring.

Suddenly, Naminé looked up in shock. Sora's hair was darker and his eyes an ugly color of Blue and yellow. Sora still had a deep loving smile on his face but he didn't give off the same light aurora. She wanted to pull away but before she could, he did himself and his hair turned back to brown and his eyes into the before shade of sapphire he once had.

--- 2 months later ---

Naminé stood in front of the large white pod that held the Keyblade Wielder within it and watched it with worry. The brunette she knew was changing and it was neither unstoppable nor incurable. Lucky enough Riku and DiZ were unaware of their hero's difference but soon the transformation would be complete and the past demon that once existed would be in full control.

"Sora…." She whispered to herself, cupping her hands to her chest and looking down from the mess she believed she caused. "He may soon take you…and if he does…what will happen?"

"Naminé," The girl looked back, afraid that it was DiZ but lucky for her it was Riku, Sora's best friend. The two meet in Castle Oblivion around the same time as Sora and they had become friends the day Sora was put to sleep.

Naminé felt a bit relieved that it was him and not DiZ but that feeling soon faded when Riku's eyes hovered above her, to Sora. He looked slightly stunned and sad. Naminé looked away, ashamed for what he was seeing and how he would react.

The silverette rushed pashed her and placed a hand on the pod, hoping that it was an illusion that would soon disappear---but it didn't. His friend Sora, the one who was always happy and helping out friends was being consumed by a darkness that was all too familiar. Sora's hair was slowly shading into black and his skin was crawling with a smoke that kept an evil smile on his lips.

"W-What…what's going on Naminé?" Riku whispered, lowering his head to keep his eyes away from the horrific sight.

Naminé couldn't answer. She knew what was going on but it was hard to tell him seeing how he was already experiencing enough inside him. "Are you sure you'd like to know?"

Riku was uneven about saying yes afraid that the cause of this might be forever his life and the rest of the universes. "Yes…" He slowly nodded.

Naminé took in a breath and eased herself, ready to tell Riku what was going on. "Ten years ago, a powerful keyblade, called the X-Blade, started a war that still lives on." She began, as Riku gave her full attention. "Many lives were destroyed and keyblades where shattered across the battlefield. The war horrible it scared the lives of many, and painted darkness and jealousy in their hearts. One day the keyblade had created its own vessel; a boy that was both half-light and half-dark, he was completely perfect and was made to hold its power away from the wrong hands.


"However, a past Keyblade warrior named Xehanort, had found the boy and raised him to be a Keyblade warrior. At first, the man had no idea about the boy's powers until he became old enough to wield a Keyblade and then his lust for Darkness and Kingdom Hearts began. He tried everything in his powers to make the boy release the x-Blade but his heart was too strong and his Light denied the darkness.

"Xehanort had grown tired of the boy's recklessness and choose a new route. He split the boy's heart into two---one made of pure darkness, the other of pure light. Both were complete opposites but they were the exact same.

"As time passed the two were forced into battle, and battle that would create the X-Blade. Man tried to stop this creation but it was too risky to separate the two's bodies. Soon the Light one had destroyed the other half and put the two to an eternal slumber---or so everyone thought.

"The light half had placed his heart to Sora and lived there until Ansem had killed Sora, when he did the Light was split into two again leaving Sora with the darkness and Roxas with the light. However, the darkness hadn't begun to awake in Sora until I messed with his memories and his heart."

Riku felt slightly confused but understood most of it. "So…wait, Roxas has the Lights heart?"

Naminé nodded. "Yes, also the body and they Keyblade of him." In a way she felt slightly bad about telling him but she had no other choice. It was his friend and this would affect him and his darkness just as much as it would affect Sora.

"Then…that means that Sora will turn into that darkness if we don't kill that darkness and Roxas?" Riku crossed his arms and tried to think this all completely through which he was failing at.

"We don't have to kill Roxas to settle it down but we do need to defeat that darkness." Naminé scratched her chin and thought. She knew that if she was to send Riku into Sora the darkness might interfere with his darkness which he was now starting to control, but there was no other light warrior that could wield the keyblade. Unless…she picked three that where a part of him and in his memories. "We could send someone into Sora and defeat that darkness from the inside."
